Bifold: opens like a book
One fold divides the sheet into two panels, giving four pages across both sides. It suits a concise introduction with large photographs, an invitation or an easy-to-read service list.

It starts with the fold
A page means one side of a panel. You do not need four or six files: supply two complete flat layouts, outside and inside.
One fold divides the sheet into two panels, giving four pages across both sides. It suits a concise introduction with large photographs, an invitation or an easy-to-read service list.
Two folds create three panels on each side. One panel folds inside, so it is narrower than the others. Use the exact template so the leaflet closes properly and keep text away from the fold.
A Z-fold opens in a zigzag, useful for a sequence or route. A gatefold has two outer flaps that open from the centre. The configurator shows only folds available for your selected size and paper.
A folded leaflet gives your reader context without a full catalogue. The cover attracts attention, then each panel explains another part of the story. This makes custom bifold and trifold brochures useful for services, proposals and promotional flyer campaigns. Plan the information before designing: what readers should notice first, what they need to understand and what they should do next.

Choose the folded size for how the leaflet will be used. A DL trifold suits counters, envelopes and information stands. A folded A5 brochure gives more space to photographs and text, while A4 accommodates detailed content without tiny type. The size in the selector is the closed size: the flat artwork dimensions change with the page count and fold style.
Use a recognisable cover, a short introduction, key services and clear contact details. A promotional trifold helps continue the conversation after a stand visit. For an international trade show in Barcelona, prepare separate artwork and print runs for each language.
A bifold or trifold separates starters, dishes, drinks and promotions into readable sections. For seasonal campaigns, 130 or 170 gsm paper can be practical; choose a heavier available stock for more body. Gloss or matt coated paper is not lamination and does not make the leaflet waterproof.
Information leaflets help introduce facilities, opening hours and services in a clear order. Combine short sections, photographs and a clear invitation to enquire. Leave enough space for essential details and keep telephone numbers and addresses away from fold lines.
A tourism leaflet can combine a route, opening times, highlights and a QR code linking to an updated map. A Z-fold works well for a sequence. Compact formats let hotel guests and visitors carry useful information without relying on a screen.
Give each panel a role: introduction, benefits, services, indicative prices and contact. Use larger images for a property, organise courses and schedules for a school, or focus on one offer for a shop. A trifold flyer should help readers find the essentials.
Programmes for exhibitions, festivals and events become clearer when schedules, locations and practical information have separate sections. Use simple icons and comfortable type sizes. Check QR codes at their printed size and keep them inside the safe area of the panel.
Grammage is the weight of paper per square metre, not an exact thickness measurement. The finish also affects how it feels. Use these suggestions as a guide; the configurator shows actual availability.

Download the template for your selected size and fold first. Prepare outside and inside as two complete flat layouts with all panels assembled. Extend backgrounds through the 2 mm bleed and keep text and logos at least 4 mm inside the trim and clear of folds. Export a CMYK PDF with embedded or outlined fonts and photographs at 300 ppi at final size. Remove instructions and unwanted guide lines: the proof overlay is screen-only, but any lines in your uploaded artwork may be printed.
The preview checks size and proportions, displays trim and safe areas, and flags low-resolution images when measurable. PDF text near an edge can also be detected. Check spelling, panel order, orientation and QR codes yourself. It is not a colour proof or a substitute for a physical sample: screens and printed paper can differ. Approve both sides before continuing.
Prepare my artwork ↑A bifold has one fold and four pages. A trifold has two folds and six pages. Both use one double-sided sheet, but arrange the information into different panels.
It is the folded size. The flat artwork size appears beside the selector and in the template. A DL leaflet can have different flat dimensions depending on its page count and fold.
Two: the complete outside layout and the complete inside layout. Each file must have one page containing all assembled panels. Do not upload four or six separate panels or the instruction page.
Yes. Enter any whole-number quantity from 25 copies, including more than 1,000. Intermediate quantities are priced using the next available production run. Large quantities without a confirmed tariff require a custom quote.
No. Some sizes and folds are unavailable on these heavier papers. The configurator disables combinations that cannot be produced.
No. These are coated-paper finishes. They do not include lamination or make the leaflet waterproof. Ask about a dedicated hospitality product if you need a water-resistant menu.
The digital proof is free. View outside and inside, zoom in and check the guides before approving. If you choose to print a file with a low-resolution warning, you must explicitly accept it.
The overlaid trim, safe-area and fold guides are not printed. A line drawn into your uploaded file is part of the artwork. Remove any template marks you do not want printed.
No. Production and transit are separate stages. Dates depend on your configuration, payment, correct artwork, the cutoff and working days. Check the full delivery estimate in your quote.
Yes. Prepare artwork for each language and add each print run separately. Check each version in its digital proof. A single print run is not automatically split between different artworks.
Collection in Barcelona and shipping options appear in the basket. DTS offers free mainland Spain shipping from €100 excluding VAT, subject to shipping terms. For hotel delivery, provide the recipient and event reference.
No. A digital proof checks layout, not certified colour. Screens emit light while paper reflects it. Prepare CMYK artwork and ask for advice if your project needs a specific colour-control process.
