Custom Feather Flag: Vertical Visibility from a Distance
The feather flag is a high-impact outdoor promotional display. Its elongated shape and movement in the wind attract attention from a distance. At trade fairs, events, terraces, car dealerships and beaches, a well-designed flag makes use of open vertical space to catch the eye.
In DTS Printing we manufacture them in 100% polyester with dye-sublimation printing, producing vivid, durable colours on fabric. Water-resistant, designed for winds up to 50 km/h and with UV protection for prolonged sunlight exposure.
Available in five sizes (290 to 600 cm assembled height) and eight base types for different surfaces: pavement, sand, grass, walls or indoor floors.

Material and Printing: Why Sublimation Makes a Difference
Flags differ in quality. The fabric and printing method determine how long colours last and how well they withstand repeated outdoor use.
Lightweight, durable technical fabric designed for wind. Moves freely and dries quickly after rain.
The ink bonds with the fabric fibres, so the colour does not peel or crack and resists sunlight.
Photos, gradients and complex logos. Sublimation reproduces detailed designs with accurate colours.
Reinforced edges and pole sleeve withstand repeated movement in the wind.
The pole channel uses abrasion-resistant material to reduce wear.
Printed on one side, with sufficient show-through for the artwork to be visible from the reverse.

For interiors and smaller spaces, choose S or M. For outdoor areas with nearby foot traffic, choose L or XL. For large sites, car parks, roadsides or open beaches, XXL maximises visibility.
Eight Base Types: One for Each Surface
The base matters as much as the flag. An unstable installation affects its appearance and can damage the structure.
For outdoor use
🌊 Water base
For pavement and surfaces where a spike cannot be used. Fill with water on site. Capacity up to 20 l. Size: 43 x 43 x 17 cm.
🌿 Spiral ground spike
For sand, grass or soil. The spiral screws into the ground. Height 41 cm, 20 cm spiral. Includes folding handles.
🪤 Ground spike
An alternative to the spiral spike for soft surfaces, with convenient handling and ground support.
🧱 Wall mount
Screws to a wall at 4 fixing points. 45° angle. Suitable indoors and outdoors. 850 g, 10 x 10 cm.
🚗 Vehicle base
Positioned beneath a vehicle wheel, without drilling. 50 x 15 cm, 1 kg. Ideal for dealerships and automotive events.
For indoor use
🏠 Folding indoor base
Folding metal cross base with a discreet appearance. A popular choice for stands, showrooms and shops.
💧 Indoor base + water bag
Folding cross base with an additional water bag for stability. Recommended where there are draughts or strong air conditioning.
⭐ Deluxe Base
Matt black iron, 30 x 30 cm, 4 kg. A sturdy, stylish indoor option for prominent locations where finish matters.

Supply Side A and Side B as separate files if using different artwork. PDF or TIFF in CMYK, at least 100 dpi at actual size.

We check dimensions, resolution and colours. If adjustments are needed, we notify you before printing.
- 4Printing and delivery
Full-colour sublimation, sewing and finishing. The fabric and pole arrive ready to assemble with your selected base included.

What material is the feather flag made from?
Material100% polyester with dye-sublimation printing. Ink bonds with the fabric fibres, producing vivid colours that resist peeling, cracking and fading in sunlight. Reinforced edge seams and an abrasion-resistant pole sleeve.
Can it withstand the wind and the rain?
MaterialYes. Withstands winds up to 50 km/h continuously. Polyester repels water, drains and dries quickly without distortion or colour loss. Sublimation adds UV protection against sunlight fading. Suitable for installations throughout the season.
Can you see the design from both sides?
MaterialYes. Printed on one side, but the polyester has sufficient show-through for the artwork to be visible from the reverse. The fabric's movement makes it visible from all directions.
What feather flag size do you recommend?
SizesFor interiors and smaller spaces, choose S (290 cm) or M (340 cm). For outdoors with nearby pedestrian traffic, choose L (400 cm) or XL (500 cm). For large sites, car parks, roadsides or beaches, XXL (600 cm) maximises visibility.
What types of bases are available?
BasesEight options according to the surface. Outdoors: refillable water base (pavement), spiral ground spike (sand/grass), ground spike (soft ground), wall mount (screwed) and vehicle base (under a wheel). Indoors: folding cross base, cross base with water bag, and matt black iron Deluxe base (4 kg).
Which base is better for pavement or sidewalk?
BasesThe refillable water base. Fill on site with up to 20 litres of water for stability in wind. Compact (43 x 43 x 17 cm) and easy to transport empty. A popular option for terraces, trade fairs and pavements.
What should the design file be like?
OrderPDF or TIFF in CMYK, at least 100 dpi at actual size. If Side A and Side B have different artwork, send them as separate files. There are downloadable templates for each size on the product page.
How long does delivery take?

Do you need tools for assembly?
UseNo. The pole separates into sections and assembles by hand. One person can assemble the complete flag in less than two minutes without tools. Dismantling and packing are just as quick.
Can the feather flag be used indoors?
UseYes. Three bases are designed for indoor use: folding cross base, cross base with water bag and Deluxe base in matt black iron (4 kg). Size S or M is the most common choice for stands, showrooms and commercial spaces.
